Detailed Narrative Description of Project: The study objective is to compile socio-economic data to be used in rational planning of special protected areas’ activities, improving their management and using the data for the comparison of the project baseline situations with the project mid-term and completion situations
Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your Company:

·       The household survey sample was constructed at the 10 percent of the total number of households in the 15 survey soums covering 939 households including  789 (84 percent) herder households, 150 (16 percent) households in the soum centers

·      There were organized two FGDs involving both herders and soum center citizens. Each FGD covered 12 person representing different social groups

·      The secondary data were using collected using formal statistical data from state, aimag and soums sources, reports of relevant projects and programs by organizations and donor projects. The timing of the secondary data ranges years 2011-2015 and 2013-2015

·      The Summary Report was prepared in Mongolian and English and Full Report was prepared in Mongolian which includes, in addition to the Summary report content, detailed outputs for each of 15 special protected areas with their buffer zones and 15 representative soums.

·      The detailed report contains key problems accumulated in the study areas and key recommendations for overcoming them. The reports content includes:

  • Population
  • Economy
  • Livelihoods and social services
  • Use of natural resources and its prospects
  • Detailed digital land use map
