Detailed Narrative Description of Project: The Services will contribute to the following Organizational objective of FAO: SO1 – Contribute to the eradication of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition
Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your Company:

·      Assist the Government in drafting the law on pasture land and strictly related legislation in harmony with the VGGT;

·      Build capacities of stakeholders involved in the preparation of the pastoral land law;

·      Disseminate information about VGGT and the pastoral land law to parliament members and new governmental authorities

·      Produce recommendations on how indigenous herders’ rights are protected for sustainable pastureland management in areas adjacent to mining and crop land

·      Organize and conduct consultation sessions on pastoral land law in 11 aimags representing different ecological regions and wealth groups of herders;

·      Undertake an assessment of possible effects of the pastoral land law and a study on traditional rights of women on pasture use;

·      Conduct a study on traditional rights of women on pasture use;

·      Prepare a policy paper for drought/dzud triggers is developed with modified triggers for drought response;

·      Organize the National Workshop on Climate Smart Agriculture for drought resilience”

·      Develop recommendations for implementation of the “Climate Smart Agriculture” concept on Mongolia’s livestock sector
