Description of Project:
The assignment is designed to assist local economic entities and herders in the project impacted soums to start and run viable business opportunities through adequate market and business surveys and organizing capacity building activities for them.

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your Company:
· Conducted a market survey in each soum to identify the existing business environment, barriers and job creation opportunities. The survey covered a total of 453 individuals from 4 soums including herders, soum officials and cooperative members · Developed detailed program to enhance local business development based on the market survey · Conducted the training needs demand assessment survey among 200 businesses, individuals and households in the Khanbogd, Bayan-Ovoo, Dalanzadgad and Manlai soums using prior-developed questionnaire · Analysed the existing businesses and propose new business opportunities · Organized training: First training focuses on developing new business ideas and preparing business plans and 2nd training focuses on technological training to support individual businesses · Identified required equipment and machinery for new businesses and assist beneficiaries in acquiring them · Conducted regular assessments and monitoring over business development · Prepared business database based on market surveys and assessments · Prepared business promotion materials · Developed and piloted camel brand product strategy · Developed and promote ‘Livestock sustainable development program’ · Provided technological training for interested households and businesses on a variety of opportunities feasible in the region · Thanks to training sessions organized to improve the competency of local businesses and herders, the participants have learnt to complete project proposals and perform market research. As a result, 26 new business projects have been launched
