Detailed Narrative Description of Project: With the intensification of livestock production and increasing pressure on pasturelands, the GoM with support from donors, is responding and launches a broad program of sectoral reform, including lifting restrictions on private land ownership, coupled with increased investment in rural infrastructure and services. Therefore, the Government of Mongolia is implementing index-based livestock insurance program that is aimed for reducing rural vulnerabilities through the development of new and strengthened systems of risk management complement and will support pastoral risk management activities.

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your Company:
- Developed detailed methodologies on ways to explain IBLIP concepts to key stakeholders to reach remote herding families and deliver training and promotion materials to them.
- Organized training of trainers to work in 56 sums in the 3 pilot aimags.
- Assessed the learning performance of the local trainers by tests, organized re-training in poor performing areas
- Organized the face-to-face education in each of 56 sums of 3 project aimags providing training to more than 30 thousand herders’ households and all local government officials of 56 soums in 3 aimags.
- Prepared well-designed and simple-language tanning materials to be used in the face-to-face education
- In addition to face-to-face education organized in cooperation with soum administrations, interested donor projects and programs active in soums a public event covering not less than 40% of herders
- Prepared a test questionnaire and assessed herders understanding of the index-based livestock insurance concepts and explained repeatedly the details where herders face difficulties in learning.
