Description of Project:

  • The goal of the public perceptions survey wave 2 was to track changes in public perceptions of the TVET sector in Mongolia and measure the impact or the effectiveness of the TVET Public Awareness Program. The Survey had to collect data from 2500 respondents the same exact numbers in each age group as with the Wave 1 survey conducted in 2010.
  • Sustainability East Asia LLC has contracted CPR for the survey instruments testing and updating, sampling designs, interviewer training, the field data collection, data entry, data cleaning, processing, delivery of a cleaned data set and the preparation of draft reports in both Mongolian and English languages.
Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your consulting firm/organization:

  • Tested and updated survey questionnaire (provided by MCA Mongolia) and guides for focus group discussions (FGD)
  • Designed the survey implementation plan and agreed with the clients.
  • Compiled and trained survey teams
  • Organized fieldwork data collection by mobilizing 27 field teams each consisting of 3 members. The fieldwork located and interviewed 1500 respondents in the Ulaanbaatar city and 1000 respondents in 11aimagswith exact numbers in each age and sex group as required by the project TORs
  • Organized data checking and data entry by the use of CSPro 5.0. Double entry was used to clean errors and ensure data quality.
  • Organized data processing using SPSS
  • Analyzed the processed data and prepared draft reports in English and Mongolian. The most data are gender and age segregated.
  • The datasets with proper descriptions, labels and coding schemes were formatted and transferred to the client according to set standards.
  • Produced and delivered completed surveys in both hard and soft scanned copies.
