Detailed Narrative Description of Project:
- Develop survey tools like questionnaire and focus group discussions (FGD) to collect data in the field as well as secondary data templates
- Test developed survey tools
- Organize fieldwork involving questionnaire survey for an appropriate sample and interviews and group discussions
- Conduct land use mapping survey using GIS techniques
- Organize data entry and processing
- Analyze the processed data and write reports on key dimensions of the social and economic life along the projected railway track

Detailed Description of Actual Services provided by your Company:
- Developed and tested survey questionnaire, guides for focus group discussions (FGD) and templates for secondary data
- Produced an appropriate sample at 95% confidence level to represent the entire population
- Organized fieldwork involving questionnaire survey of 380 urban and 265 herder households and interviews and groups discussions for around 600 individuals and organizations. Herder households were selected using random sampling from each of predetermined wealth strata in each bag in terms of animals owned: 0-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-500, 501-1000 and 1001 and more.Interviews were conducted within an open framework that allowed for focused, conversational, two-way communication.
- Conduced land use survey covering 420.3 km long strip with 81.9 thousand ha and produced digital maps on land uses and impacted groups
- Organized data entry and processing using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)and CSPro (Census and Survey Processing System)
- Analyzed the processed data and prepared reports in English and Mongolian on key dimensions of the social and economic life along the projected railway track
